A lot of time it seems like we might be able to make a good amount on ebay, but usually it ends up much less than expected because of all the fees. Here this calculator can help you with that.
It is best to explain in case study:
1. Suppose person A saw camera B on sale for $40.
2. He went on ebay and found that average sold price $70.
3. Now he wants to setup the auction: $24.99 @ starting bid. Shipping for $10.
4. This part you usually have to guess. Assuming actual shipping is $6 to location C.
5. Now you fill out the values for your action.
Item Value: 43 (Tax and everything??)
Actual Shipping Cost: 6
Starting Bid: 24.99
Selling Price: 70 (Assume this is mostly the case or you use Buy-It-Now).
Shipping & Handling: 10 (This is what you charge)
Not Using PayPal: (Leave this unchecked if you use PP)
6. Now submit and you will see the actual earning. In this case it would be 28.12. That's not bad, because shipping & handling actual save you from losing money.
Well now it's your turn to try. :) |
